Due to the coronavirus, 4th of July is going to look a little different this year. While many cities are cancelling their annual parades, festivals, and firework displays, that doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate! Here are some fun ideas on how to celebrate 4th of July while social distancing, provided by LunchEAZE!
1. Social Distancing Barbeque
Call on your neighbors to participate in a social distancing barbeque. Everyone can stay in their own front yards with their grill and picnics, turn on some music, enjoy some drinks, and share jokes from afar! This way you can celebrate with everyone on your block while staying 6 feet (and more) apart. This would be a great time to finally get to know your mysterious neighbors and make new friends without stressing over cross contamination or spreading germs at your barbeque.
2. Create a Sidewalk Chalk Contest
Challenge your neighbors to create 4th of July themed chalk art on your block. This would be great for kids to get crafty and fun. Let’s get artsy!
3. Make Red, White, and Blue Baked Goods
It’s not a celebration without sweets! To minimize all risks, stay inside your own home. Nothing’s more fun than baking while bonding with the people you live with. Check out our sweet recipes for 4th of July on LunchEAZE’s Pinterest board.
4. Fireworks with LunchEAZE
If your city still plans on having fireworks, take your masks, your blankets, and your food with you! However, one important thing is to avoid sharing items with others, especially food. LunchEAZE’s cordless electric lunch box allows you to take your food anywhere and heats it up to 220 degrees whenever you want, no cords needed! Keep your food to yourself and limit all contact with others. Munch on a piping hot meal while enjoying a gleaming view from a safe distance!
5. Host a Jackbox Zoom Party
A fun way to party with family and friends without leaving your house is by hosting a Jackbox Zoom party. Jackbox is an easy-to-play multiplayer online game available on a wide variety of digital platforms. Purchase and download the game on your computers or smartphones and set up a Zoom call so you can communicate while playing. Have a fun night of trivia, fibbage, laughs, and more!
